Play without writing down moves
Moves appear on your phone. Checkmate, stalemate, resignation or an accepted draw: the result is saved. Pieces that are lifted and put back down, and corrections, are taken into account.

Play on a real board, and the app records the game for you. ChessClubPulse connects to a DGT electronic board over Bluetooth or a USB OTG cable and saves each game in PGN format.

Allow the installation
Open the file. Android asks you to allow your browser or file manager to install unknown apps: accept for this source.
Connect your board
Launch ChessClubPulse, allow access to nearby devices or to the USB board, then play: the game starts at the first move.
What the app does.
Keep and share your games
Local history with a move-by-move viewer, PGN with player names, date and time control, and sharing to a messaging app or an analysis tool. Moves can also be entered on screen.
Clocks and DGT3000
Built-in clock with time control and increment, full-screen clock mode, and reading and control of a DGT3000. Recording continues with the screen off while connected.
Optional upload to the site
Without an account, everything works locally. Sign in with Lichess or by email to send your games live to your personal space or your club.
Frequently asked questions
Which phone and which board should I use?
The app requires Android 12 or later. It supports Bluetooth DGT boards and USB DGT boards with an OTG cable. Compatibility depends on the model and the connection: check your hardware before buying anything.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Recording, history and PGN sharing work without an account and without a network connection. The account is only used to send your games to ChessClubPulse; your new uploads stay private until you choose a club.
How do I update the app?
Come back to this page, download the new version and install it over the old one. Your games and settings are kept. Do not uninstall the app before updating: uninstalling erases the games saved on the phone.
Why isn't the app on Google Play?
Publication on Google Play is in preparation. In the meantime, this direct download lets you use the app. Android shows a warning for apps installed from outside Google Play: this is normal for this type of installation.
